TRAVELLERS in Indonesia struggling with the usual rough landings and delayed flights now have a new cause for concern: was the pilot smoking crystal meth before take-off?

The arrest of a Lion Air pilot for possession of 0.4 grams of crystal methamphetamine over the weekend, the third such incident in the past seven months, has raised concern over just how widespread drug use is among Indonesian pilots.

A month earlier, another Lion Air pilot was arrested with an undisclosed amount of crystal meth in a karaoke bar in South Sulawesi, while two Lion Air co-pilots were arrested for possession of crystal meth and ecstasy last September.

If they're not smoking it, they're dealing it; let's not forget the Malaysian pilot caught with five kilograms (11 pounds) of crystal methamphetamine a few weeks ago. Shabu Shabu (methamphetamine) is most popular with the poorer underclass of Indonesian dope fiends. They usually buy it when they are too poor to afford Ekstacy. Because it is cheaper than Ekstacy, which is of course what any prosperous Indonesian dope fiend would prefer to buy.

So perhaps this is an indication of how underpaid Lion Air pilots are.:D Too poor to buy Ekstacy so they have to resort to Shabu Shabu as a substitute.;);)

That is very bad that pilots caught smoking, it is very bad news for the reputation of the airline. Already airline is struggling with bad factors of landing and timing and there is one more throne in to the situation.

chrystal meth is goooood stuff. does not take much to get lost in never never land. scares me.

Definitely gives new meaning to "The Mile High club" ;)
