LAN LANPASS - Best way to skip a LAN award flight?

Sounds like a silly question but want to make sure I don't somehow end up with a credit card charge. Or if there's a way to get my points back that would be preferred.

Booked a round-trip award flight from Buenos Aires (AEP) to Iguazu (IGR). Wasn't planning to ever use the return portion. That return flight is scheduled for Feb 8th. When I checked in online for the AEP to IGR flight I was notified that there was a schedule change for the return flight. Without thinking I just confirmed it.

Anyway, at this point I'm not going to be taking the flight on Feb 8th. If I call LAN to cancel that leg will they try to charge me some sort of cancellation fee? Should I do nothing and just let the reservation go? Should I call them and request a refund of the points for that leg since they changed the flight after I booked it?

Thanks!!

Hi. Just skip the return, do nothing, say nothing, do not worry, since it is the last leg.
WRT to cancellation, refund etc., sorry cannot see a strategy worth the effort.

I am in a similar situation with my award travel ( SLA-BUE-IGR) and I just need to go to BUE. I can not cancel /change BUE-IGR without paying fees.

I would just skip the last leg at the layover city, but I am not sure what will happen to my luggage.

say nothing? worry?
