Other North & South America Frequent Flyer Programs - Aerolíneas Plus, closer to Skyteam rules?

I've just received the AR Plus newsletter and I believe that Aerolíneas Argentinas is paving the way for the Skyteam membership.

On March 1st, Points will be converted into Miles, elite will earn status miles and - in the Italian version - they say 'miles with all fares'.
