LAN LANPASS - DFW-MIA-LIM on AA or DFW-LGA/JFK-LIM on AA & LAN?

I currently have a business class award ticket on hold DFW-MIA-LIM on AA metal. I just found out that AA flight from MIA to LIM is on a 757 aircraft. LAN is not available from MIA to LIM. However it is available from JFK to LIM. The agent is offering me DFW-LGA/JFK-LIM with AA and LAN combo.

My question: Is it worth the hassle of changing airports in New York to experience LAN service, full lie-flat seat on a wide body 767 aircraft?

What are the total elapsed travel times of the respective trips (i.e., first take off to last landing)?

Also, is there any space DFW (AA) LAX (LA) LIM?

I would not want to get from LGA to JFK. That seems like quite a hassle and would require a fairly long connection time. I would probably do it if you would stay in JFK.

I am surprised that they use a domestic 757 on a 5 hour international flight.

Yes. It is not THAT much of a hassle, go outside LGA hop on the Airporter for $13, 15 minutes drive to JFK.

JFK-LIM arrives at a better time 06:00 and more time to sleep. Remember you can do MIA-LIM daytime or red-eye, MIA-LIM red-eye arrives at 04:30.

3 hour connection should be fine there - and I'd much rather arrive at 6am vs 435

If you have that much time to spare, you might try leaving DFW earlier and connecting to the AA917, the 4:30p which uses a 767 with NGBC (slanted, not lie-flat).

AA917 is not available on the dates I am looking for. Also, I have to incur an extra night hotel in LIM before heading down to CUZ next day morning.

Most have been focusing on the times. Not knowing what is important to you, I would suggest the food, wine, service, in flight entertainment, and seat will all be superior in LAN. For me, that makes it a win.

I was able to ticket it via MIA with LAN over the water. Thanks to BA award tool. The inventory matched 100% and I could see the inventory reduced as soon as the agent ticketed it.

Ques: My current outbound itinerary has a connection time of 90 min in MIA. I arrive in MIA from DFW at 10:25 pm and LAN leaves at 11:55 pm. Is that enough to transfer from AA flight to LAN though I meet the MCT requirements at MIA? There are no other non-stop flights available from DFW and I will keep trying to get on an earlier flight.

AA arrives MIA in the D and E concourses and LAN departs from J; you will have to exit and go landside to get to J, then clear security again.

Personally I would give myself a longer connection time, as part of the fun of travel for me is enjoying the lounges. If your arriving flight is late you may have difficulties with the connection. If it's your only option, though, then it is what it is. I think your best bet is to do as you say - keep an eye out for earlier DFW-MIA flights if possible.
