lots of dates available. for a little more ($284) you can get out and back on same day with 6AM departure and landing back just after midnight.

What's a fare code? Do you have the rules? I wouldn't mind visiting friends, if UA/CO add NYC-SBA. harry0233 Feb 3, 12, 11:18 am routing is fairly generous. The only problem is this requires a redeye which I'm not looking forward to. Thanks OP! jammanxc Feb 3, 12, 12:41 pm santa barbara is so beautiful, you wouldnt want to turn around so fast ;) kaimanawa Feb 3, 12, 1:20 pm works SBA to PHL, too - thanks OP broms Feb 3, 12, 1:38 pm Without an overnight stay of some sort, dropping this below 4cpm will be nearly unachievable. Now, if someone wanted a quick stay in SBA, I've found that ~3.8cpm is possible, although you'd be leaning HEAVILY on 500-mi minimums. PHL-IAH-SFO-SBA r/t, $268ai = 3.87cpm with 500-mile minimums Routing rules are as follows: 1. PHL-CHI/CLE/CLT/EWR/PHL/WAS-CHI/DEN/HOU-LAX/SFO-SBA 2. PHL-CHI/DEN/HOU-LAX/SFO-SBA These four fares book into G, and there are a few available at the moment: $218++ R/T with 14-day advance (GA14CN and GA14FN) $224++ R/T with 7-day advance (GA7CN and GA7FN) With so much G potential, there's definitely a lot of availability if ~4cpm out of PHL is typical. Not a bad find. PaceLaw2012 Feb 3, 12, 1:45 pm nothing ex-NYC? ILikeComfort Feb 3, 12, 1:55 pm Without an overnight stay of some sort, dropping this below 4cpm will be nearly unachievable. Not a bad find. I never done MRs before, so I'm not sure what is "typical" for flights out of PHL. Since starting to look in early January, this is about as good as it's gotten. I hope there are better ones, but for good measure I'm booked out and back in one day in early March. thehoax Feb 4, 12, 7:51 pm This seem ok for this route to PHL. Have you also noted the mid April fare war between Virgin and US to LAX? 149 each way. ILikeComfort Feb 4, 12, 8:42 pm hadn't seen specific fares to west coast for US - I try to avoid looking as much as possible. it is far and away the worst airline ever. hopefully UA and CO get involved in the fare wars with Virgin as well. pfbloom Feb 4, 12, 9:07 pm Without an overnight stay of some sort, dropping this below 4cpm will be nearly unachievable. This is good MR material and even if you have to do an overnight, Santa Barbara is a delight... turtleisland Feb 4, 12, 9:48 pm Thanks, using this as a cheap getaway from Philly! nova08 Feb 5, 12, 1:58 pm This seem ok for this route to PHL. Have you also noted the mid April fare war between Virgin and US to LAX? 149 each way. $300 is still pretty high for a simple transcon MR. We've seen $175-225 PHL-PHX/SAN/LAS/SEA with connections. Hopefully as we get closer to the start of VX service the fare war will heat up. |
