Etihad Airways Etihad Guest - Upgrade purchase at check-in

Hello - just curious if anyone can share their experience and knowledge about purchasing a class upgrade at the time of check-in.

Is the cost typically worth it from business to first? Do you get the bonus miles for the higher class?

Any help will be appreciated.

I've ugraded from economy to business at check in on a few occasions with no problems. It's definitely cheaper to do it that way than paying full price although you do run the risk of seats not being available. I only got economy miles however. I'm sure it would be the same for business to first. Personally, it would depend on the length of the flight whether it was worth the money or not.
