Thailand - Can't get an award ticket to BKK, help me evaluate my alternatives

As of today we can't get from the US to BKK on CX on an award ticket. (My ultimate goal is to get to HKT, which isn't available either.)

SIN and KUL are available. Which would be me best option for follow on paid ticket to HKT? I've looked it over and am leaning towards KUL.

What are your thoughts? Am I missing an option?

You're missing something. CX has some of the best award availability around for carriers in its class. We'll need a bit more information: Where are you originating? When do you want to go? F, C or Y cabin? How many seats do you need?

Yes, but like I said, there is no availability.

My guess is the "Party of 5" ... Have you tried searching with a smaller number?

I have booked the same trip (US to HKT) as an award for 4 seats (on *A awards). I had to break it up into 2 parties of 2.

That is a high demand time. I don't know about OW, but many *A carriers reduce availability around Christmas.

Also, we need more than "around Christmas." Can you give us your preferred dates as well as an acceptable range?
