Amazon offers a free Kindle book about Juan Trippe, the founder of Pan Am. My apologies if SPAM is not the right forum for this, but I honestly have no idea where else I could post it. Anyway, I think some fellow members might be interested.

Oh, and I stole it from Fatwallet, just to give credit where credit is really due.:p

Editorial from Amazon.com:

"By any measure, Juan Terry Trippe was a remarkable business leader - a visionary, devious, shrewd, deeply flawed, and ultimately inscrutable genius. Franklin D. Roosevelt, a Harvard man, once called him “the most fascinating Yale gangster I ever met.” Trippe built Pan American Airways from a single scrap of paper - a license to fly airmail from Key West to Havana - into the world’s largest airline. In the process, he all but single-handedly shaped the world of air travel. If Juan Trippe had never existed, it’s safe to say that the world would look very different from the way it does today. Here’s his extraordinary story."

Looks like it's only free for Amazon Prime members.

I might add that when I checked on it this book was free to BORROW. Amazon lets Prime members borrow up to one book per month. You can keep it as long as you like, but you can only borrow once per month and obviously have to return the previous book before you get a new one.

There is actually quite a number of books which may be borrowed, but there seem to be fewer "free" books.

Nook?

I'm happy with the free book every Friday from Barnes and Noble to nook and nook app users. Frankly, I really don't have time to read all these books, but it's fun to wake up every Friday and go download a free book.
