My earlier thread seems to be not working, so I re-post, can admin please delete the previous thread ?

I am traveling to Perth for the first time this February, I have booked my hotel and tours through Discovery Australia, it seems to be giving better rate than booking directly with the hotel. Have anyone tried this tour agent before? Is it a reliable one?

I intend to bring in a DSLR camera and possibly a laptop, both for personal use, do I have to declare them? I also have to bring some general vitamins (for supplementation purpose) for personal use, do I have to declare every single vitamins that I am going to bring in? Because it will be quite a lot.

Any suggestion where to shop and dine around Perth? I am staying at Perth Ambassador Hotel, preferably dinner because I am occupied most of the days with day tours. Lunch will be needed only for two days if there is any better suggestion. Will there be any summer sales like promotion going on? Where is the best place to shop?

Is it possibly for a foreign tourist to get a prepaid sim pack with data enable? Because I will need that for my iPhone 4, how much will it usually cost? What is the proper document that I need to buy one?

Is ETA automatically enable in every airline? I am traveling with Singapore Airline and have applied for an ETA through the Australian Government website.

Any additional information regarding Perth and where about is gladly welcome. Please advice! Your help will be very much appreciated, thank you!

Just tick "yes" to medications on the declaration form. They will ask you what they are and when you reply "vitamins" they probably won't want any further information.

If they find them and you haven't declared them they may decide to confiscate them, and potentially may also decide to do you for a false declaration. And they will find them - they're looking for illegal drugs and will x-ray all your luggage.

Should be no issue with the laptop and camera, as long as they are not brand new and in original boxes.

Any recommendation of place to shop and dine? I've heard of the burswood hotel buffet.

Anyone know if it is easy/hard for a foreigner to get a australian number (sim pack)? I intend to use it for my iphone so I can still surf net and stuff while in perth.
