Just got an invitation to Point-Booster. It is same as before, 300 extra points for eco, and 2000 for eco extra/business. Travel period is between 1st of March and 31st of May.

The campaign is targeted.

Got it as well. Good I have a whole bunch of segments on SK in Y for this period and 2 on KF (which I might now consider to upgrade to Y+. 100Euros for 4000 points + actually earned points is not a bad deal is it?)

Well, thats disappointing. Didn't get targeted this time. To add salt to the wound, the last couple of times I did use Points-Booster it ended up not working out in my favor, and this time I am pretty well set up with a number of flights between now and May 31st! :(

Maybe next time....

Am I just lucky or are they running them more frequently now? I was invited to point booster before Christmas and yesterday as well. I don't recall getting invited as often before.

I wasn't invited yet so not this time. I don't have many flights lined up though so not a big deal.

I got the invite too. Considering that the last one ended December 31 and netted me 22 300 points (with an equal amount of travel scheduled for this period), I'd say this is a good deal.

I got mine a couple of hours ago. Looks like SK staggers the invitations - perhaps their IT system can't handle the load:)

This might be a no-brainer, but award travel does not count, does it? Could not find any "terms and conditions" link in the e-mail.

Nope - only paid segments is included.

Third point booster in a row for me. But what about the double points campaign??

so how this targetting works? And what SAS wants to achieve with such a narrow campaign based on gambling? I am new to EB, and I have to admit this campaign perplexes me a bit.

Perhaps you are correct! Mrs. KroFlyer has yet to receive her invitation... Hopefully it comes tomorrow as she has the same flights planned as me.

You´re not the only one that doesn´t understand SAS reasoning. I´ve given up on understanding SAS business decisions and especially their IT systems/people. It's not meant to give meaning - it just is the way it is.

But I´m happy when they give me extra points above what I earn flying - and I´ve just received my inviation to this round of pointbooster^.

Perhaps to make you fly SAS? What's perplex about that?

I like playing it safe (like I believe most scandinavians do) - so I reported to them the flights that were all booked before the campaign email arrived. So they did not make me fly a single segment more this way. But they might just be trying to make it fun, and I am just used to boring LH style from MM, where the promos were always straightfoward.

What perplexes me is why is not this open to every EB member, but 'targeted', as someone suggested above. If they believe that this will make me fly more, why it would not make the others fly more? Do I match a gambler profile?

Got targeted too...but I'll skip this one, as I can still enjoy the youth fares and credit more points to my A3 account (one RT LHR-ARN in V earns at least 1200 miles with M&B as opposed to 600 max with EBB :) )

My theory is quite simple: When signing up you do a commitment to fly X segs in X time, if achieved you will be awarded. If this commitment makes you choose SK before any other carrier, the purpose of the campaign is fulfilled.

The targeting could be both random or not. Of course, this kind of campaign is not very valuable for those who fly irregular.

If you upgrade with UTOs from M to Y/C, you will actually earn Y/C booster-points as well, despite only commiting M segs! I like the booster:)

If I understand this promotion correctly (I'm new to EB), I have nothing to loose by estimating a small number of flights as then I can easily exceed it?

As it happens I only have 2 flights flights booked at the moment so my estimate will be low.

Edit:
Oh, now that I go through the registration process I see it says in small print,
"You will not receive Extra points for any trips above those specified in your prognosis."

As you states, you have nothing to lose (compared to not joining the campaign).

Question:
Do an Economy Flex ticket on CPH-AAL counts as a part of the pointbooster?

Can't seem to find the T&C to verify this.

Do you have any reason to think it don’t count?

Nope - not really - just seen things before where some things are excluded so just needed a confirmation for it :p
