CommunityBuzz! - Anyone around for lunch or drinks Thursday, Feb 9th near ORD or downtown Chicago?

I'm flying to London, and after the last trip a couple of weeks ago where I ended up having to take Amtrak to/from Chicago last minute due to weather I allocated a really long layover, so if flight gets delayed or canceled I have options.

The agent didn't read me my final itinerary before booking so I didn't catch that she put me on a 6am flight to connect to a 3:50pm flight (not happy).

So if there are no delays or cancels, I have a LOT of time on Thursday, Feb 9th, to meet FTers for lunch or drinks either out near ORD or in the city.

I am now a definite for lunch tomorrow near ORD and my time schedule is flexible. As far as a place Sharon, any of the suggestions made thus far sound fine.

Sharon, I can pick you up at ORD, and drop you as well as Sweet Willie afterwards. P/u around 1115 should be more than adequate, and will have cushion against a few minutes of delay/misconnect. Actually, 1130 is fine too, I just thought you'd have been there all morning and may want to get out a few minutes earlier. Which terminal? I'll pm my cell # to you so we can coordinate.

Other issues:

Does anyone else need to be picked up at ORD before lunch?

I realize that Sharon will still have a few hours at ORD in the morning. I hope there will be a few other FT'ers to hang out with. I am busy till about 10, else I would have at least offered a scenic drive around ORD. :)

I don't know how many of us will be there, but if more than a few, we can call ourselves "Flyertalk group". Let the hostess know and she can direct late arrivals.

11:30am pick-up is fine for me. When I land I actually have to do some work in the RCC.

Am currently at ORD C Concourse United Club. Look forward to seeing everyone in a few hours. I'll be the one with the glazed look on her face, after going to bed at 11:30pm, waking up at 12:37, 1:45, and finally 3:15am - yawn. I need to get a bunch of work done, but would like to take a nap!
