I have never used it. There is also a shuttle bus service - again I have never used it. I do not know if the airport itself has a facility - I have never seen one, but have never looked. typical Jan 31, 12, 10:04 am Yup, ground floor of the international terminal (arrivals level). No idea of cost though I'm afraid. milesk Feb 1, 12, 8:18 am Thanks for the replies. We'll try the airport storage instead of going offsite unless we get lucky and can catch an earlier flight to BKK. Will report back so others will know too. Thanks quarryking Feb 4, 12, 9:40 pm The location mentioned here on the forum from a previous post is correct. The tarriff is 1 USD$ per hour per bag. It's a smallish room and there's some signage leading up to the place. Was contemplating using the service a few days back while transiting thru SGN, but then decided to just head in to the departures area and hang out there itself with the luggage..makes sense if you want to head to town for a few hours and don't want the hassle of having to lug your stuff around. milesk Feb 7, 12, 8:18 pm Thanks everyone. Below is my experience: As others have stated above, the luggage storage is on the ground level at the left end of the international terminal (when facing the entrance). Price was about $1 usd/bag/hr or so. We left everything there except the passports and money; had no issues at all. Quick and friendly too. Other note: Connnecting from the domestic to the international terminal is fairly quick and easy. About an 8-10 minute walk. Also, the luggage carts are free and can be used between the terminals. PM me if you have an additional questions on SGN BKK SIN NRT MSP and I may be able to help. You're supposed to swap carts when you get to the international terminal - why they can't use the same ones, I've no idea... :) It's not a long walk, albeit a little miserable when the rain is coming down hard (the walkway is covered but not enclosed). quarryking Feb 8, 12, 4:55 am You're supposed to swap carts when you get to the international terminal - why they can't use the same ones, I've no idea... :) It's not a long walk, albeit a little miserable when the rain is coming down hard (the walkway is covered but not enclosed). Yeah, was wondering the same thing. Couldn't quite understand the logic of the cart swap, with the ones in the International terminal being better. Letitride3c Feb 8, 12, 7:38 am Hmmm, the storage rates of $1 USD per bag/per hour is rather expensive by VN standards of living - it's okay/acceptable for very short-term usage of a few hours, up to half a day or so. Otherwise, if you store 3 or 4 bags for 24 hours - but, without alternatives or competition, they can charge whatever they wanted to ... |
