Booked a valentine trip with wife EWR to LHR, with CO miles, labelled as I-fare...
VS website says discounted fare, excluding I-fare, will not get the complimentary car, so I guess I should?
Anyone has the experience? How I should arrange it?
Also this is my first time fly on VS biz across the pond (flew with CO, UA, LH, LX, DL in the past), anything else I should expect?

(VS calls it Upper Class not Business Class)
You need to phone VS and arrange the details re pick-up times, addresses etc.
The CH at EWR is quite small but the food is good and the staff friendly. There is a bar and table service for drinks and wifi but no spa for treatments, It is landside and they will call you when it is time to board giving plenty of time to clear security. However it is not a 'destination' lounge like the LHR CH so don't deliberatly plan on spending hours and hours there.

Hi epicurus,
If booking with VS miles , a complimentary car is not included in the fare. ( but can be done with additional miles
It does say that a car is available on J,D,C and I fares.
However I fare is a paid fare ( the UK reward seats go into G class) and I'm not sure why using CO miles books into I ( it may be worth posting on the CO forum as you are using their miles I think)
However things to do ;
(1) Enjoy the EWR Clubhouse as you may only get a quick meal after take off if you are in a snooze zone flight)
(2) Ask for a sleep suit once on board if one is not provided
(3) If you have time use the LHR revivals lounge
(4) On your return flight use the dedicated security line for VS Upper class pax
(6) Allow time ( 2-3 hours) for the LHR clubhouse- it is excellent.
Enjoy VS UC:)

Are you on the morning or evening flight?

Yes it is the snooze flight... does it just simplify the meal?
Too bad I only have outbound on UC with VS... the return is on CO since it is after 2/13 when CO/VS break up. At least I get to try the UC when I still can.
I will call VS to try my luck with the car.

Another quick question...
Does VS have the same UC on 744 and 346? trying to debate whether to go from JFK or EWR.

Why, you won't get one?
See your other thread on the 747 v 346, it's considered impolite to post more than once to get the same information.
If you're on the VS002 then it is a snooze zone flight, the snooze zone is in rows 1-5 on a 346 and upstairs in UC on a 747. In the snooze zone immediately after the seat belts sign is turned off after take-off the crew will help make up beds, dim the cabin lights and leave you to rest. In the remainder of UC a meal service is offered but is simpler (a hot or cold option, all on one tray, and served quickly). You can enjoy the UCS for the remainder of the flight, take a seat at the bar, or simply then choose to bed down ...
Evening... 915pm VS002
If there is still availability and you have the time the morning flight from EWR (VS018) would be one of the best for trying out UC and it beats the jet-lag. The idea on the evening flight is to maximise sleep which is great in general but probably not if you prefer to be awake to be able to enjoy things. ;)
My first flight in the new suites was on the VS018 back in 2004.

It books in as "I" since it is a code share flight and that is what CO uses. But if you go onto VS site it will be a G, and as stated before no car.

You are right... called CO and got the VS confirmation number, logged in VS, and it is G.
Another question, how does the inflight beauty station work? what is being offered? are they all complimentary?
