Other Asian, Australian and South Pacific Frequent Flyer Programs - Can I earn miles on *any* U.S. airline for EVA Air flight?
My friend and daughter are flying SEA-TPE-HAN tomorrow, and he's not a FT nerd like me, so he didn't even think about miles for the flight.
It looks like CO has just been divorced from Eva, and United isn't picking up the partnership. Can any USA airline (or British) program earn miles for an Eva flight (in coach)...

To the best of my knowledge, I am afraid the answer would be "NO"!
Yeah, I know it sucks, but it is simply a fact.

Just credit it to BR for now. When it officially joins *A, they can then earn BR miles flying UACO & US (as well as other *A members). That's about the only way I can think of to salvage those miles now.

Given EVA's track record, I can well believe they will expire before that day comes.
But agree it's probably the best the OP can do.

Oops! Didn't realize BR has a fixed expiration of miles.

:D
I heard a rumor that they are still trying to line up the spnsors for *A - apparently multiple sponsors are needed. Not sure if it is true though.

No it's not fixed. They like to change the expiry date after you've got them!
