Hilton HHonors - Hilton Cocoa Beach Oceanfront Trip Reports and Reviews

I have just returned from a 'free' stay in Cocoa Beach. When I called the Diamond Desk to inquire about the difference between the Double Tree property and the Hilton she basically gave me the company code about the Hilton better the better property (and more points). Upon checking in at the Hilton I discovered no balconies (but the property is directly on the beach), and the most filthy rooms I have ever experienced. I quickly called the Honors Desk and asked to be moved to the Double Tree (less than .5 mile down the road). Within the hour they had me moved to the other property (very clean and also directly on the beach, with balconies for all the rooms). So, the moral to the story, if you are going to the beach in Central Florida do not stay at the Hilton. You'll do much better (with fewer points) at the DoubleTree.

I've stayed at this hotel twice recently. I'm a gold and both stays I've been put on the executive floor (7th) in corner rooms (very nice!). The rooms never appeared dirty to me; however, I've heard some stories about the rooms on the lower floors.

My only complaint about this hotel is that my HHonors points never post automatically. (I usually have to call).

I have to say ditto - stayed on the 7th floor - it was totally fine. I also had the exact same experience with the points not posting. I wonder why that is....why would this one property be a problem? Different computer system?

Yes, I also was put on the 'executive' floor. This was still not worthy of the brand name.
I don't understand about the problem with the points posting. This should be automatic at any Hilton property.

Thanks for the comments....I've been debating which one I should stay at in the future. You just helped me decide.

Am going down there in Feb. Will do the 2Tree unless things have changed. Website refers to some shutdowns for Hurricane repairs.

My wife and I were stayed (using HH points) there for the weekend. Pretty nice property. No problems with the check-in. Helpful staff. Given oceanview room on the Executive (7th) Floor. No free hi-speed internet access in rooms though.

The staff told me that the property is undergoing the final phase of renovation. Should be done very soon.

Will probably stay there again.
