Qatar Airways Privilege Club - New PC cards?

Has anyone/everyone got their's yet? Nothing in my mailbox so far...

About a week ago I mailed Qmiles because I am moving next month to make sure the card is sent to right address. On 24/1 I received the reply saying I should receive it within 3-4 weeks.

Lol, good to know they're so organized... I'm guessing this means that current cards will be valid THROUGHOUT February...

That's why I ctc'd them. My card says ED 02/12 but in my PC acct it says with date 02JAN "card renewal".

They are valid until the end of February to allow an overlap for the new ones to arrive.

On my account it says the card was posted on the day after I was upped from Silver to Gold.

Yeah card upgrades are immediate. But then it takes more than a month to arrive. In SIN at least, it seems to be created outside of SIN and then posted to the office here and then redispatched.

My cards came with local stamps on it and were delivered the next day after it was posted out in SIN but still took more than a month to arrive since I hit the new status

I bumped up in status on November 08, 2011. No card for two and a half months, contacted customer service on Jan 25 and was informed yesterday that a replacement card would arrive 3-4 weeks after confirming my mailing address here in Italy. That puts the delivery time at 15 weeks(assuming it ever shows up).

It makes sense to despatch them on their own flights en-block to the local office for local distribution. Far quicker, and eliminates the chance of being stolen in international airport mail rooms, and here I'm referring to Bangkok, which is notorious for this.

Not being in possession of a current PC card is no big deal, as your boarding pass and stub carry both your number and membership level, albeit in very small characters.

Yes thanks for this info as I was about to email qmiles as i fly in a month and my card has not yet arrived...

By "end of february" they are clearly taking advantage of the extra day in the month this year... :rolleyes:

I did receive mine 3 days ago.

The mailman just delivered new PC cards.

Nice, glad to hear they finally arrive, I shall be looking forward to Postman Pat delivering mine :)

Flying May 14th. I just received my Silver membership card in the post on 23 March so I assume yours is now on the way.

How wise is it to go public with this?

My replacement silver card arrived by recorded delivery from the QR Phuket office on Sunday 1st April, no joke!!
