I have applied travel visa from India. But wondering consulate told me to re-apply again for type-5 visa. I do not want to work or stay in brazil. I have a contact with an aunt in recife. I will stay her house as a paying guest . and I will return after carnival. I also send an invitation letter to consulate. I am student and doing job in private institution .
what should I do now ?
I will apply travel visa again
need advice

That sounds sensible. I can't see from your profile where in India you are. But if you are within visiting distance of a Brasilian consul's office, it might be a good idea to have a face to face chat...
Important information is missing. You applied for a tourist visa at a Brazilian Consulate in India and were turned down by the "wondering consulate," which said you should apply for a "Type 5" visa (a work visa, I assume)? What did they say to you when saying you weren't eligible for a tourist visa? Why did they say you'd need to apply for the different type of visa?
Did they give any indication that you could be reconsidered for a tourist visa? Was the problem you staying with your aunt??? They seem skeptical about your intentions, so you need to provide documentation to assuage their doubts (whatever those doubts are-- we don't know). You mention an invitation letter. From who? How would that demonstrate that you are a bona fide tourist? Is the problem, perhaps, that they don't think you hve the means to finance your stay? I really don't know. My experience with consulates, however (I worked for the U.S. Foreign Service) would tell me that sending a letter won't get you any results, unless they said you should do so. I assume you applied for the tourist visa in person. If so, you will likely have to return. At the very least I'd phone the Brazilian consulate and ask.

I apply again for tourist Visa 2nd February. embassy said they just need two passport size photo as soon as possible. (7th February)
I have send two passport size photo ( 10th February ).
Still nothing is happened . I have booked flight from Kolkata to Recife on 17th February . Just wish to watch carnival in Olinda far better than Goa (India )and Rio (I think) .
But I am very sad, taking long time to get a travel visa.. why Brazil can not trust an Indian ?? .. Brazil has most natural beauty but it is fact that Brazil is not an easy travel place for an Indian .. :td:
