National - Status bump

As of today's rental return, I should have 42 rental days thus bumping me up to Executive status. Will I be able to reap the rewards immediately or do I have to wait until the end of February when they do the re tiering? I rent weekly from PIT and they have been really good at giving me nice vehicles but I am hoping that the new status will do me even better!

Your status bump will occur before the tier expiration date in Feb but it may take a few days.

However, I'm not sure how you can have 40+ rental days in 2012 since we are still in January (27 days as of today). The counter for rental days / credits reset on January 1 so rentals from 2011 do not carry over. Qualification / requalification is annually like the airline and hotel programs. I thought I had read in agreement somewhere that it was based on when you joined. Even so, I am long term renting every day when weekly renewals so that would put me at 40 days on Feb 9th I believe!

No definitely not based on when you joined - (ie I've been an Emerald Club member since 1990 so well over 85 days by now and I'm only Executive and not Executive Elite) - the counter is reset annually.

But since you rent weekly all the time, yes your 40 days will be sometime in mid-Feb depending on when you early Jan rental started / previous one ended. And good news for you since if your rental pattern changes (no more rental all the time), you qualified in early 2012 so your status should be through 2/2014 even though the system may not reflect such.

I have had a rental with them everyday since December 13. Glad to know it will be a longer term status. I am hoping to buy a car in spring so rental patterns would definitely be changing.Heck I may even have reached 85 days by then!
