I jsut redemmed some points for two rooms for two nights in Napa, and a night at the airport before, and it couldn't have been easier. My first hotel choice only would have had one night available (never gotten all my award nights there) and the second night was fully booked, diamond or not, so hotel #2 was the winner.
Call, tell them when and where, and a few minuted later the certificates are in my e-mail inbox. Couldn't have been any easier.
I know the last time I did this it wasn't this simple, so maybe they are changing things for the better? I could have printed the certificates off the website, but since I was on the phone with them anyways, it was so much easier to just have them send them.
