(Sorry for the crosspost, mistakenly posted in the Asian airlines forum initially)

I see they have a lot of partners, but I'm not sure if using a particular airline will help at all for seats, baggage, etc?

I currently have:
*G (ua 1k)
Skyteam elite plus (Delta Gold)
oneworld ruby (AA gold)

depends on what kind of fares your book and class you fly. In economy the only sure shot way of getting miles for every flight is by using the respective airline's programs - or in the case of IT - credit to BA where all fares post.

I'm more interested in a good seat than the mileage (although mileage would be nice); will any US FF# help me out there?

If your flying after Feb 10.. Your OW Ruby status will directly match to Kingfisher Silver and you can avail all the baggage, check-in and lounge services.

I'm traveling in March, so good to know about OW ruby.

Any recommendations on Jet?

kingfisher is in a lot of financial trouble so jet would definitely be a much safer bet....but you won't get any benefits besides miles if booked on a certain fare class....

Does a one world Ruby get any lounge benefits? I thought it was limited to Saphire and Emeralds only (AA does not provide lounge access to Golds on their international trips unless booked in business or above)

kingclub silver equals one world ruby....kingfisher gives lounge access to its silver members unless you are traveling on kingfisher red flights....

Sure, but IT is not obliged to offer lounge access to non-IT OW Ruby members.

The OW member agreement only requires partner lounge access at sapphire and emerald levels.
