Thanks! I snagged it, figuring that if nothing else, it might be useful at some point. :)

I had a free Gold from a Delta SkyClub, but never knew if i could go in without paying anything. Might be useful to get some free Wifi whilst abroad. Are they usually pretty busy?

Just signed up. In email, it says:

■Unlimited, walk-in access to any of our 1200 global business lounges and cafés, with complimentary internet and refreshments.

Where on their website can I find locations of those "business lounges and cafés"?

That seems to be a secret list...I can't find it.

I am actually sitting in one at the moment!

Even if you pay for it at full rate (a few hundred $ per year) it is excellent value. I am currently looking for a new job, and probably spend 10-15 hours a week in Regus lounges in London. (Young kids at home and lack of spare space make it impossible to get anything done there.) The best ones have plenty of seats, all have free tea and coffee, some have private 'pods' (a bit like an Emirates F suite but smaller!) which gets you a chair, desk, plug socket and some privacy, again all for free. Wireless internet always free. Some have a couple of PC's or Macs which you can use, again for free.

The only issue is that the quality of the lounges vary hugely, from non-existant (despite what they say, not all properties have a lounge) to very impressive (like a good airport lounge). Some comment from me on the main London ones here: http://www.businesstraveller.com/discussion/topic/Best-Regus-Business-Lounges-in-London

I have also used them abroad - last time I was in NYC, I was at the InterCon Times Square and (rather than pay the crazy internet fee demanded by the IC) simply wandered into the Regus in Times Square instead.

Using the iphone app, I located the nearest business center which was just two blocks away from my office. I wanted to use wi-fi to transfer some documents to my kindle fire (we don't have wi-fi at my office). I haven't gotten my membership card yet, but I had the number in my email. When I arrived at the building, it was secure. I told the receptionist that I was there to use the office center on the 21st floor. She asked me to show a photo id and called upstairs. I also got a paper badge for the building. Once I got to the 21st floor, I showed the email with the membership number and she wrote it down. There was a small lounge area with about 4 padded chairs and then a large breakroom with vending machines and a nice selection of free coffee and tea. Wi-fi worked well.

When looking at a description for the location

On Site
24 hour access
Business Lounge
Meeting Rooms
Parking
Secure underground parking
Lounge area
Elevator
Temp control
Suspended Ceilings

Does this mean the actual Regus is 24 hours, or just the building its located in?

I get this notion that these business lounges are relatively small instead of an airport lounge environment and aren't worth the hassle of going through security. Does anyone know of a good lounge in downtown Chicago? I want something that's nicer/more convenient than a Starbucks.

The one I described was at 1 S. Dearborn Chicago. Once I get my card, I will report on more.

I hope the one three miles down the road from me has this. Would be very useful on nights when I need to hunker down and study. My other options when I can't be in the house are my work (12 miles away) and FedEx Office* (6 miles away).

* - The one near me works really well for those needing a office-type desk for a few hours. There are a group of 15 cubicles separated from the main (noisy) part of the store. Some desks have computers for rent, but most are completely empty.

Anyone know if any in Tokyo are 24 hours?

I used the lounge in the Tokyo Roppongi Hills location once. During my visit, one of the staff came by and let me know they would be closing soon and that I would have to leave. I think closing time was 6:00 PM. I believe that office renters were allowed to stay.

I was asked to leave the business lounge at their Mountain View, CA location at 5pm. So it's not 24/7 I figure.

I was able to sign up for this offer today and have gold status.

I signed up with Regus about 10 minutes after signing up for FastBreak from Budget. I was able to enter a prepaid AmEx giftcard on my FastBreak account as I do not plan on using FastBreak.

Has anyone got any value for this sign-up ?

All the locations in the Los Angeles area are not close to LAX and a few other places I visit do not seem to have locations near airports,

Just wondering if you found the card useful ?

and yes I signed up already :)

There was a thread about this in the PC forum: http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/intercontinental-hotels-priority-club-inter-continental-ambassador/1087276-regus-free-plat-level-merged.html

I've found it helpful occasionally. The quality of the "business lounge" and "cafe" varies widely between locations. However, it has been handy as a place to take a call, have a coffee, and productively kill an hour or two online while on the road.
