I plan to to book the route above for this summer, perhaps late July. To get some miles and AVIOS points I thought of booking W+ which is not too expensive and gets me more AVIOS points. If I wait for example until late April to book the flights, by how much can the price change?
Any tips in booking such a route are welcome.
The RIO stop would be for about 4 days.
I am currently a Blue member.
I'd book it as early as possible. Sure the price may change a bit, but it depends on the risk of missing out on the flights you want compared with saving a bit. I'd think that (northern hemisphere) summer holiday time flights will be very busy - so plan accordingly.
Can't comment about AVIOS though.

Which airline are you planning flying to Buenos Aires? You are aware that you don't need to fly GIG-EZE? You could fly to the more convenient AEP.
Personally, I would take the PZ flight.

Don't forget that the lowest WT+ fares (T class) require 21 days advance purchase and are non-refundable. Changes are GBP100 a time plus any fare difference if T class is not available.
You'll need to book an open jaw LHR-GIG // EZE-LHR on BA, plus a separate RIO-BUE ticket, as the combination rules will probably preclude a single ticket.

Hi, thanks again for the suggestions. Not planned which airline to BA's, since it is not too far the miles will not be too important to get. AEP looks like a good suggestion. Will look into that and also to buy 2 seperate tickets.
Thanks again
