Hilton HHonors - Hilton HHonors Properties in Littleton, ColoradoView Full Version : Hilton HHonors Properties in Littleton, Colorado stevenl57 Aug 17, 01, 5:44 pm Business travel next month, I see there are a few Hilton properties south of Denver. I stayed there in Feb and had a nice stay. Irvine Aug 18, 01, 5:10 pm Hilton Garden Inn is OK. Located close to I470 and I95. mountain flyer Aug 18, 01, 8:06 pm I've stayed at the Hilton in the tech center, and its fine if a bit old. I've also seen the Hilton Garden Inn which is new. The Garden Inn is a bit farther south. Chris zachary Jul 31, 03, 10:03 pm I'll be staying in this area one night. Was looking at the HGI Denver/South, ES Tech Center, and Hilton Denver Tech South. I was surprised to see the rates: HGI was most expensive ($94 -- or $99 with double points), then the ES ($89), then the Hilton ($64.50!!). Any thoughts on where to stay? I'm Gold and would obviously like a place that gives benefits based on that status. Thanks. Scotch Aug 13, 03, 4:51 pm I'm also interested in comments about Hilton Denver Tech South for an upcoming trip to Denver/Boulder. I just did a search and was surprised to discover the rates are better than some of the Hampton Inns! Is there something wrong with the hotel? Made a note to myself that it was a very nice property and I'd like to stay there sometime. Never saw the rooms, but in my experience it is rare that the common areas and rooms are not in similar shape. Front Range occupancy is well below average this summer, which probably explains the cheap rates. Take advantage of the bargains... and make a call to see if you can drive the rate even lower! http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif kam Aug 13, 03, 7:45 pm You wrote Denver/Boulder...when visiting Boulder I stay in Hampton Inn, Louisville. It is a new area with several hotels all together. auspexian Aug 13, 03, 10:21 pm HGI is newer. Never stayed at ES tech center. But the Hilton denver south is a little old. It is not a tall building, spread out 3 stories. I like the HGI at the airport. Always came in late and stayed there. Denver therefore has fewer business travelers than "normal". I like the Hilton myself. Superd1 Aug 14, 03, 11:50 pm We just stayed in the ES in the Tech Center. A little of the beaten path and what I attributed the better pricing to. We were upgraded to a huge Suite as a Diamond but the bathroom didn't smell clean. More of an issue with the room than the hotel. The rest of the hotel seemed fine. We had a nice swim in the pool and the two fellas cooking breakfast were absolutely amazing. It was fascinating to watch them. Great cooked to order breakfast. The gift shop was a little surprise, my wife lost her reading glasses and found some in there for less than she could buy them somewhere else. We felt we were treated very well. ------------------ "A day without Points/Miles is like a day without SUNSHINE" zachary Sep 19, 03, 1:20 pm My trip was delayed and I just returned yesterday. Spent one night at the Hilton Denver Tech South. It is an older property that clearly could use some renovation. Although I didn't have a problem with it, another guest told me that he didn't have hot water for a shower in the morning. As a gold, I was upgraded to executive level and received a breakfast coupon. The executive level thing is a joke -- it's the 6th (top) floor, but there's no lounge and it seemed to me that the only thing you got was a better view. The breakfast coupon was good for the breakfast buffet (both hot and cold) and could be traded in for something off the menu. I'll probably stay somewhere else next time. sg7z Sep 19, 03, 5:47 pm I just stayed at the Hilton last week for one night. Older property, but not really in bad shape. I was on 6th floor, nice view. The bfast was nice and the manager's reception had eatable food, but undrinkable beer (Bud and MGD). They will provide a free shuttle ride to local eateries. Did a run in a residential area nearby, some really, really nice homes. On the other hand, my buddy was staying at the ES and didn't really like it, and, no ride to eats. ------------------ Sheldon |
