There was some other action in after hours share market trading today.
Republic - RJET - shares have been on a bit of a roll the past few days, rising from (about) $3.60 last week to close at just over $4.50 today.
After the market closed, Republic issued revised guidance for 4Q 2011:
http://www.marketwatch.com/story/republic-airways-improves-outlook-on-fourth-quarter-2011-financial-results-2012-01-25
"Republic Airways Holdings Inc. RJET +18.32% has raised its guidance for year over year unit revenue increases on its Frontier Airlines branded operations for the Fourth Quarter of 2011."
I can't link to the Wall Street Journal, but it gives a new estimate of net income between 36 and 39 cents a share - up from the previous analysts estimate of 9 cents.
Because of this, the shares jumped 83 cents (18%) to $5.83 in a.h. trading. Maybe all the hard work is starting to pay off.

If my memory serves me correctly. Didn't Bedford present last year also?

Oh happy day! I'm glad I jumped on board when I did. The thing that is exciting is that there isn't a whole lot of environmental causes for this (price of oil remained high), the competitive landscape didn't change much, and little of the Apple flying had started yet so this growth is mostly organic. Should be an interesting earnings call.

Republic airways has been successful in turning frontier into a profitable airline with oil at $100. Its a low cost airline with expanded operations due to merger with Midwest and present in a city/state which is flourishing in this economy.
Word on the street is that Republic airways is seeking 300m plus for Frontier. That's almost equivalent to there current market cap. So, in a way shares should double. Before the institutions and traders find this opportunity, load up the shares of Republic airways. It's already selling at a 50% discount on book value. :)
