Etihad Airways Etihad Guest - Orphan Miles

Well, I flew Etihad for the first time last week. Great airline. Unfortunately i didn't properly plan my booking an thought I was going to earn AA miles. Total bust. So I compensated with 16K Etihad Miles. Trouble is, I seriously doubt I'll be flying these guys again. Aside from their little online shop, is there any third party way to move these miles into something else? Hotels? Another airline? Even at a loss, I'd happily move them.

ETihad has a bunch of airline partners where you can exchange miles, including AA. So look for a flight on the redemption table that gives you a flight for 16000 miles. On the other hand, the miles stay valid 3 years, so maybe you will use them later on.

I think miles validity is only two years, without status.
