Etihad Airways Etihad Guest - Connection times at AUH

Hi,
I'm trying to find out if this booking will work on separate tickets:
EY KTM-AUH arrives @ 12:35am
BA AUH-LHR departs @ 2:45 am
It looks like the EY flights into Abu Dhabi will arrive to Terminal 3 and the BA flight will depart from Terminal 1.
EY said the couldn't guarantee they'll be able to interline my luggage through to the BA flight, so I may have to exit the airport and re-check. Is this correct? I saw on the flyerguide wiki that EY and BA do have an interlining agreement. If I do have to re-check, will 2 hours be enough to make it through passport control and to Terminal 1? Hopefully it shouldn't be too bad at that time of night.
Also, if I don't have to re-check my luggage, is their airside transfer between Terminal 1 and 3?

I never left the airport with luggage (stopover so I only took my backpack) but immigration (in and out) is very fast. The two times I passed there, I was the only one. Checkin is another story. Terminals 1 and 3 are connected (with a long corridor) so you do not really need to get out if changing terminal.
On a sidenote: anyone has used terminal 2 or are there photos of it? I cannot find anything about that terminal 2.

Cool, thanks for the info. I called EY and they weren't too helpful. Booking the itinerary all together on one ticket is 2000 euro more. I could just fly entirely EY, but I need the elite miles on BA to keep my status.
I guess I can take Qatar airways instead to AUH, but then I'd end up waiting for 8 hours (arrives at 6pm). I could take plenty of pictures then :)
I did find these on airliners.net, not great but a couple pics of it...

You never know if you have delays or so, so watch out with buyong two separate tickets. If you would choose qatar and have the long layover in AUH, you can go out of the airport and visit the city. Abu Dhabi is a nice place to visit. If you cannot get out of the airport, then go to the lounge (al-Dhabi I think). It costs 50 US dollars and is very nice. It is in terminal 1.

As you stand looking at the terminals from the runway, Terminal 2 is on your left, near the cargo terminal. In other words, it's not placed in the logical place between Terminals 1 and 3 :)
T2 is used for some of your more out of the way airlines. I've flown into it maybe twice, with Jazeera if I recall correctly, though could have been Air Arabia as well.
Do not attempt to walk between T1 and T2 unless you are in for some punishment. There are no covered connections and indeed last time I was there (would be 2010) there weren't even sidewalks or marked paths on the roads between T1 and T2. Attempted to walk it with a colleague and his bag failed at the midpoint. Whole thing must have taken 30 mins on a 25° night - was a bit of a nightmare.

Indeed, according to wikipedia, it's home to:
Air Arabia Egypt
Airblue
Biman Bangladesh Airlines
Iran Aseman Airlines
Nas Air
Pakistan International Airlines
Shaheen Air International
Sudan Airways
Turkmenistan Airlines
Yemenia
not exactly your most confidence inspiring roll-call of carriers, with the exception of course of Air Arabia.
