Turkish Airlines Miles&Smiles - THY Website? Not a rant but is this the worst ever website?

Great Airline without question!!! Lounge in Istanbul, comfort class, FA's, occasional great deals..etc...

BUT Is it only my experience that ranks THY.com as one of the worst in the industry? Some days only can access international version, most days fares are not found, special deals are visible on homepage, when you click through you get nothing.

Strange. There are small small carriers with a flawless web experience.

Yes, I've tried IE and firefox, no luck.

I searched this forum and no similar complaints?

I also had the same experience. Yesterday the entire website was down for 1 hour, when you type the adress you got a blank screen. I wonder how much this cost them in lost sales!? :rolleyes:

Probably a lot less than having entire city-pairs missing from the websites booking engine. I would say unbelievable.

I don't know why they don't hire some talent and re-do the whole site? Is their booking management system so ancient that it can't handle simple online transactions(seat selection, etc etc) at the discretion of user online?

Had to try it after reading this. First link I clicked (miles and smiles) and I get a server runtime error, which among other things says:

"Notes: The current error page you are seeing can be replaced by a custom error page by modifying the "defaultRedirect" attribute of the application's <customErrors> configuration tag to point to a custom error page URL."

Yeah, how about at least doing that (replacing the default error page with your own), THY web admins. This looks really amateurish.

+1^, the last update at least make the non-IE users tolerable but still sucks. Still can't book ticket from HKG-US.
