Hello everyone,

I'm headed to Tokyo (and Kyoto, maybe Osaka) very soon and wondered if you had any favorites - restaurants, gay bars, sightseeing, clothing stores, mixed bars-lounges, spas.

I've been there once, and went to the fish market, sumo wrestling, Rainbow Bridge, and walked briefly around Shinjuku. But it was a lot to inhale in 2 days. This time, I'll be there for 4 days.

Looks like I'm staying at the Park Hyatt, at least for a couple of nights. Looking for fun, interesting places, hip/trendy (or, a kitschy hole in the wall). I don't speak a lick of Japanese.

I know there's a thread already for "Gay Tokyo", but I'm just searching for a mix of suggestions.

Thanks in advance, and Happy New Year and Chinese New Year!

Not speaking Japanese have never been an issue.

Just got back from a 3-night stay at the Park Hyatt Tokyo... you will love it. What a great hotel. Do NOT miss the croissants at breakfast (hope you are HGP Diamond)... among the best I've had in the world (including Paris!).

I'm not HGP points member (Starwood, actually), but I couldn't refuse staying at the Park Hyatt when they paying party insists on it. I will ask, however, to sample the croissants. Since I lived in Paris, I'll be curious to see how they measure up.

There are 2 of us (late 20's couple) that are going to be staying down the road at Century Southern Tower in Shinjuku for 9 days starting on the 16th. We're still trying to figure out what day trips to make. When are you guys going to be there?

Louvre DNP was the coolest thing we did when we went a few years ago. Augmented reality is more known now, but still everything they did was an amazing application of technology.
