Anyone hear of anything better than the 8000 pt bonus.
Saw a link for 16000 but agent says it's expired....

There was the 16000 promo last year. I think it expired in November.
I am waiting the next promo to apply (won't take just 8000 pts when the US card once had a 40k promo...)

At the moment, the highest is 8000.

I'm not sure when you applied for yours, but in the fine print it says:

Cardholders will earn 8, 000 points (redeemable for one free night) after their first qualifying purchase. To qualify for an additional 8,000 points (redeemable for one free night), cardholders must submit their application by November 3, 2011 and if approved use their Credit Card account to make a purchase transaction by March 31, 2012.

Just called customer service for mbna and I have 16,070 points pending to be added to my account. I purchased a small item to activate the card so yes, I was told that the promo was for 16000 points. This was for their Platinum Plus card.

I won't expect to receive 16k points when signing on line, but yes, maybe you can ask for them...

did you apply before Nov 3, 2011?

I applied for the card either the end of December or the beginning of January. Just call them and ask if you will receive 16,000 points if accepted.

called and asked and they said only 8000.
Will follow up after I get something to see If the other 8000 is possible....

MBNA said definately no 16000 bonus.
I mentioned how I saw a new posting for 16000 bonus and would apply and they said they couldn't do anything but provide the 8000 in the offer...
Not too flexible....havn't decided whether I'll try again.
