LAN LANPASS - LAN only wants to sell me AA flights.

I've been trying to price trips ex-SEA to SCL or EZE for later in the fall. As an AS MVPG, I'd prefer to steer my business to LAN as I've never tried them, and it would be a change from the same old DL I usually use for overseas trips and the less than stellar experiences I've had traveling on AA.

However, whenever I use SEA as a departure, the ONLY options I'm given are LAN (operated by AA) via DFW (uh. no. thanks.) or JFK. If I use LAX rather than SEA, I get LAN flights. Since LAN places its codes on AS flights, I'm at a loss that I can't get LAN to provide an option on AS to LAX connecting onward to where I want to go.

Any suggestions to getting a real LAN flight?

I presume that's on LAN's website? What about other OW websites? For example, on aa.com you can use a multi-city function (not sure if LAN supports that) to force the routing from SEA to be through LAX. So on aa.com, even if trying a normal search SEA-SCL doesn't bring up the LAN flights, it's possible that a multi-city search for SEA-LAX-SCL might.

(Remember to change the airline search parameter on aa.com to include all partners, so that AS and LAN both come up even if not codeshared. And ask it to return tons of results, because the first results may not the ones you want.)
