Hotel Deals - $27 for Groupon short stay love motel in Puerto Rico!

This has got to be the best-ever Groupon (it sure beats a teeth whitening). They're pitching an 8 hour "romantic" stay in Caguas, Puerto Rico for $27, and that includes 2 glasses of wine. If you need more time, you can stay for 12 hours for $35.

http://www.groupon.com.pr/descuentos/san-juan

Included in the price are disco lights and your own private garage.

Use Google translate if your Spanish skills are lacking.

Does that include clean sheets and towels? From the pictures I would venture you should bring your own

8am - 4pm. So they can shake the sheets out for the evening crowd

great Groupon though. especially + disco lights. I wonder if there's disco music.

The stage and aphrodisiacs for sale really make this a bargain.

Sadly you cannot combine the groupon's for a longer stay:o

Isn't prostitution still legal is a few obscure counties in Nevada? Maybe they'd be afraid of the backlash, but it would be a logical Groupon. It's much easier for "service industries" to discount so heavily (little out of pocket cost).

I can't wait for the ridiculous Groupon verbiage on such an offer.

I wasn't too interested until I noticed
that one can elect two beers in place of the rosada...:D

Well I cannot see how satisfaction could be guaranteed by groupon:D

Says you. This is the Hotel Deals forum and IMHO it more than ably fits that description. ^

If you have a car this could be a good choice for $35,

These "love motels" exist throughout Latin America;
I have used them maybe twice while on the road in Mexico.
My buddy and I were driving to Oaxaca via Veracruz,
and got lost on a foggy rainy night outside of some town.

We saw one of these, and checked in.
The proprietor didn't blink, but was perhaps relieved
when we each booked our own room. :D

Right, if you were comfortable enough with the property (I haven't seen any reviews, but their website is fancy), it actually could make sense at this price for a "non-romantic" stay!

I myself have a late night flight into SJU in a couple months and am just looking for a place to crash (it will certainly be less than 12 hours) before moving to more "resort-y" accomodations. Caguas is a little too far from SJU for my taste, but perhaps not for others.

Fortunately, I have Choice Privileges points I can use, and for some strange reason the redemption levels are a great deal in Puerto Rico. I'm sure my Choice hotel will be a lot more "boring" than using this Groupon, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. At least if you're just looking to get some sleep. :)

BTW, if anyone is more adventurous than me and books this, please give us a full report. Well, maybe it doesn't need to be THAT "full." :)
