Other North & South America Frequent Flyer Programs - Using Optiontown on Aeromexico

Hi all!
I'm flying with Aeromexico (AM) from YUL to MEX next monday, and I just received the optiontown offer.
They are asking me for 100USD which I think is a good price for a 5 hr flight, but of course they make the route with B738, so I don't really know how good it's their Clase Premier in this case. What do you think?
Anyway, my original question was: Do you know if the price variates, like should I wait and re-check optiontown often these days to see if it drops?
Thanks!!

The correct forum for this post is the Other North & South America Frequent Flyer Programs board which is where I am moving this thread.

Look at other option town threads (Malev and Malaysia participate - and the relevant forums may have more details)
the price i believe is constant - only dependent on length of flight. I'd love to see how much they'd charge for a trip to deep south america - as I hear their J cabin is pretty good... on the wide-bodies anyway...
form others' expericnes (Malev) you would get the CoS bonus miles as well - something to consider when upgrading.

$100 is well-worth the upgrade to Clase Ejecutiva on a 5-hour flight. Onboard, you will appreciate the 38-inch seat pitch and you will receive a 3-course meal. AM's crews can be entirely hit or miss.

Rodriano, how was your flight?
I'm thinking about upgrading to the Premier on Aeromexico to go to Cancun from JFK. The plane is also a 737-800. Going to Cancun is an early morning flight. Departing Cancun is an evening flight.
How was the food, service, and entertainment?

I am also curious about this. I put in my Optiontown request to upgrade about a month ago for a flight I am taking from LAX-MEX in June. Hoping it goes through.

I also wonder how far in advance should I attempt to upgrade. The earlier, the better? My Cancun flight is in August...

First time hearing about OptionTown. I looked up my flight which isn't until Sept and it says a Uto is not available. Am I looking too far out? Or are the seats really not there?
Thanks,
Graham

Has anyone had experience with Optiontown for AM's flights to SCL? The flight from MEX to SCL is 8.5 hours.

Flying TIJ-MEX-PVR roundtrip in June; offered about $30/segment upgrade from Opiniontown. I accepted this for my family of four for the TIJ-MEX and MEX-TIJ segments only. Seatmap on Expert flyer shows 12/12 seats available on each segment a month out.
I will advise on how this turns out - $30 is a pretty good deal for a TOD upgrade on a 1500 mile flight.
