I was looking at my Business Rewards Gold Card bill online and saw a 25k bonus points offer to upgrade to the Business Plat. Are there usually any higher offers than this? Should I wait for a 50k offer, or just take the 25k?

If you apply for a new account, youll get 50k right now, maybe 75-100k later in the year

I've never seen an *upgrade* offer higher than 25K
Upgrades are usually less lucrative than new card sign-up bonuses. Why not sign up for the Plat and then cancel the Gold?

Is this a pull? That's the whole question for me. I don't think there's a signup bonus for the business Platinum.

There would probably be a credit pull, yes. And I'm not aware of a sign-up bonus offer for Business Platinum, only personal.

you can upgrade but you would lose $250 in annual fee if you upgrade to pLAT.
here is how,
the pLAT ANNUAL FEE is $450, you get 25k points which is worth $250 in giftcards , but than you pay $450 annual fee for it.
i received this offer 2 months ago, what a pathetic offer! $250 loss for upgrade?
Is this a pull?
If American Express has invited you to upgrade from Gold to Platinum there is no credit inquiry because there is no new credit risk. You will typically retain the same account number, only the color of the card and the benefits change.
$250 loss for upgrade?
 The annual fee is for benefits, not a way to purchase points. Did you take into account the $200 airline credit, $100 Global Entry refund, lounge access, Priority Pass, etc?
