oneworld - JAL on RTW trips

I would so much prefer to avoid AA on RTW trips but when i look to book ny to tokyo or LA to tokyo I only get AA options or JAL (operated by AA) options. Anyone knows why?

The booking tool will only show flights which have availabilty in the required booking class. There are times when a code share number will have better availablity then under the operating flight number.

Also, since the AA/JL ATI went through, AA has been issuing tickets booked through the online tool for JL (eg, JL coded first flight). There is a problem with the tool where if AA is issuing the ticket and the first flight is not an AA coded and operated flight, the tool frezees up at the last booking screen.

found JL okay the other night putting an AONEx together (for fun :)). Usual issue with A bucket though; doesn't appear til closer to a month or two out.
Dunno about D though, if that's the issue.
