India-based Airlines - Jet Airways - Notify Me - A Joke?

I have never gotten an email notification. Yesterday I registered for three sectors all of which were delayed by three hours. Never got a single notification.

Its a massive conspiracy to increase no-show rates so 9W can pocket the money of its customers :cool:

I have got some sms's while I am on the way to the airport stating flight delayed by more than 2 hrs etc and I guess that is also a notification though it loses much relevance if its sent 1 hr before scheduled time of departure !!

IME, notification alerts by the LCC's ( Indigo, spice jet) are much better than that for Jet..

i always get sms notifications from jet....even if the flight is delayed by as little as 10-15 minutes....

I actually find IT the best with auto alerts for elite members (As a gold card holder, with my cell number on file - I always get updates when my flight is delayed)... probably also because given IT delays being so frequent, they get to test their delay notification more than others...

I always receive SMS updates.. Also Jet has always called me when flights are delayed and I have connections to make. They've gone out of the way a few times to make sure I don't miss critical connections.

i always get sms notifications from jet....even if the flight is delayed by as little as 10-15 minutes....

I doubt it - have been a Plat member with them for almost 7 years now and never received any such benefit of a call in the event of delays.

Last time I registered for mobile alert, got an alert that the flight is late by an hour, 1 hour after the flight had LANDED (this was for an incoming flight, and I had registered on the website for an update)..

But in my very recent experience, my flight was delayed by an hour at the eleventh hour, and I got a CALL from them just before check in, stating that if I take that flight I will miss my connection (which was also on 9W). So they made me fly to my eventual destination through a different route and connecting flight altogether, and I still reached my destination on time. I was impressed..

I get a SMS and a mail, it helps a lot as my flights are at the end of the day and the domino effect of Fog and or delays would result in a delay of 2+ hrs.

But when I call back to confirm, the first response was the flight is in time.

+1.. hope they can make sms alert or giving calls for delayed flights a habit..Goes a long way in making customers loyal knowing that they will be contacted if any changes in flight schedule ..

Had a BOM-GOI flight yesterday that was delayed twice. Both times I got a text from 9W - the first one 2 hours before STD, the second at the airport about 10 minutes before the airport screens were updated with the delay.
