I have noticed this several times on OH-LQA (the ex-virgin A340). After take-off, there is a loud alarm-noise. It goes beep-beep-beep rapidly and is repeated continuously. It is really loud, but the CAs seems to completely ignore it (no action taken and no information given), and it can go on for 20 minutes or so.
It usually comes on at take off, but on my last time it came on mid flight (during the night) and woke me up, in spite earplugs. It went on for a really long time.
I have not been able to pinpoint where it comes from. First I thought it came from the area behind row5, but as it woke me up in row 1 I am not so sure about the location anymore.
Does anybody have knowledge or a educated guess what it is?
