South America - Santiago in 4 days?

I've flown thru SCL on my way to Buenos Aires twice now in less then a year (both business trips).

Thinking of taking my wife for a surprise trip to Santiago for 4 days since neither of us have been there (except me at the airport).

Thoughts? Am I crazy? Is 4 days enough?

Yes, I guess it's more than enough though it depends on what you want to see. If the trip is soon, it's summer season so Viña del Mar/Valparaiso is a must. It's not far from Santiago and I would even recommend to spend one night there. The Pablo Neruda house at Valparaiso is a must (there's another one in Santiago though I have not seen it).

If you are a wines lover, a tour to Concha y Toro in Santiago is another great tour. You can take it in Alto las Condes Mall, look for the tourism kiosk (they offer several tours there).

Along the road from Santiago to Viña del Mar you'll see several wineyards. Casas del Bosque is a good one, though Concha y Toro is better I guess.
