Fairmont President's Club - Question: Certificate redemption

Has anyone had success with this?

Can we call FPC for Premier certificates after five stays, but in fact at that point it will be eight nights in total?

(Example: will be one night at a Fairmont this weekend and then four nights a few weeks later - 2 stays. If I do three more, one night stays, I'm at five stays but eight night total.)

I am concerned that they will say no to the Premier status because in fact I have qualified for the Amex Plat5 promotion of five nights as well.

I would like to try to get both levels of certificates, if possible.

From what I can gather they seem to be different entities (call to FPC for Premier certs and then Amex for Plat5 certs).

What others have successfully done in the past is:

- start as a basic member
- complete five stays, call in, get Premier status instantly
- then sign up for the Plat 5 promo
- call FPC a few weeks later to get upgraded to Platinum status
= two sets of kits

I doubt you´ll get both kits if you´re already signed up for the AMEX Plat 5 promo. Also, as early qualification no longer officially exists, you may be pushing you luck.

Regarding your second question: You´d have to contact FPC in both cases, AMEX is the partner / sponsor of the promo, but FPC issues the certs regardless.

Must be premier first, then platinum..

So qualify for Premier, then call in and quote Plat5 and become platinum..
