There is other discussion of the Flamingo vs other Hilton associated properties if you do a search on "Flamingo Hilton" here in the forum. Have fun! TimMeineke Aug 14, 03, 12:04 pm Are you sure about that - I stayed there about a month ago, and they wouldn't take my number, saying they have nothing to do with Hilton anymore. I believe they are now owned by Park Place, which also owns Bally's etc Eugene Aug 14, 03, 12:18 pm <font face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif" size="2">Originally posted by TimMeineke: Are you sure about that - I stayed there about a month ago, and they wouldn't take my number, saying they have nothing to do with Hilton anymore. All these properties do participate in the HHonors program though when it comes to stay/points credit, and certain status-based benefits are to be expected. There have been numerous threads on this subject in this forum, a search would undoubtedly uncover quite a few of them with a lot of relevant information. If you have not received an appropriate HH credit, submit a missing credit request to HHonors. Also, one Park Place Entertainment property, the Caesars Palace, doesn't participate in the HHonors program, but instead participates in the Starwood SPG program. Rod222 Aug 14, 03, 1:12 pm Eugene, I was reading on the Starwood board that Ceasar's will not be participating in Starwood program starting in September. I wonder if Ceasars will be participating with HHonors starting then or if they will just not be in a program at all. Whether Caesars Palace would join the rest of Park Place Entertainment properties in terms of participation in the HHonors program, remains to be seen. Unfortunately, for some reason Hilton does not have this information publicly available. QuietLion Aug 14, 03, 3:18 pm Flamingo does participate in HH. However, some of the desk staff there are somewhat clueless. You will probably have to submit a missing-stay request but unless your stay is completely comped there should be no problem getting credit after the fact. QL |
