Would appreciate advice: It's been a while since I flew out of YYZ. I'll be working at York U until about 4pm on a Wednesday next month. Would like to catch the 6:30pm Delta flight back to the US. Do I have enough time to arrive at Pearson and get through security/customs?

It depends on how you are being transported and how well the source negotiate the massive construction/detour/reroutes around the campus. Your chances are better if you leave from Tait or CompSci pickup area and go to Steeles Ave. But if you are being picked up at location in the SE quadrant then .
If you have a vehicle waiting and are ready to roll at 4 sharp it should not be a problem.

If you order a cab and if you have no bags, and you check in online, it might be possible..traffic picks up at 4pm, so it could take up to an hour to get to the airport. Thats leaves you with 90 minutes to get through customs/security/gate which is fine.
If you have bags, I would have a hard time saying you will make the flight. Its possible, but you will be rushing.
Really depends on your own comfort level.

I agree with the earlier comments. You should be okay . . . but there can always be problems. Terminal 3 pre-clearance has been notoriously slow. A pre-scheduled cab is probably the best bet.

Thanks, all. You confirmed my worries that this could be a close/iffy situation depending on many variables. I decided to just stay the extra night, especially since there is a 500 USD price difference b/w departing that evening and the next morning.
