Sweet Willie Oct 22, 12, 8:20 pm No. Free days are good for the US and Canada.could a free day be used to drive from/to US-Canada or v.v.? If so, am I assuming correctly that there would not be a drop off fee? Sweet Willie Oct 25, 12, 7:46 am could a free day be used to drive from/to US-Canada or v.v.? If so, am I assuming correctly that there would not be a drop off fee? To answer my own question, I was able to use a banked free day (earned) for a one way rental across the border w/o drop charge. Quite welcome ! jwbbx Oct 31, 12, 5:29 pm could a free day be used to drive from/to US-Canada or v.v.? If so, am I assuming correctly that there would not be a drop off fee? In my experience, if the rental originates in the US there is no drop charge and you'll get unlimited mileage. If it originates in Canada, there will be a per KM charge added - no unlimited distance. Auto Enthusiast Nov 1, 12, 2:09 pm No. That's only with 1) the generic Emerald Club discount, which does not give free km on one-ways that originate in Canada 2) flat-rate corporate codes But if you do not have any contract ID inserted, you will get free km, if you do not log in. Otherwise, the generic Emerald Club discount is automatically inserted. A phone agent can remove it for you, in theory. Or use a contract code you are entitled to use, ex BJ's, Costco, that mandates free km. |
