Other North & South America Frequent Flyer Programs - TAM/Pluna connection -- Will I make my flight?

I booked a flight through Orbitz, flying from New York to Buenos Aires. I have a TAM flight JFK to GIG, 2h 36m between flights, then Pluna flight to MVD, then 1h 25m between flights on Pluna to AEP.

I'm worried about making the connections. From what I've read, 2.5 hours at GIG sounds like a tight squeeze, especially when I'm switching carriers. I read somewhere that TAM and Pluna have a code share. Does this mean they'll be responsible for putting me on a new flight if I miss the connection?
