Our family needed a room for 2 nights in the Palm Desert area for two nights in between timeshare weeks. So I found the Embassy Suites La Quinta for $74 a night in a 2 bedroom suite and it has free Wireless Internet(when booking via Embassy Suites.com you don't get free internet. I was able to get 2 Queen beds for the same price by calling directly to the hotel.
Although the price is non refundable we knew we needed the nights.
