Etihad Airways Etihad Guest - Parents flying Ethiad J - General questions

My folks (retirees in their 70's) are traveling on Ethiad and was hoping to get some travel tips for them as they don't travel much and I'm not with them.

They are doing YYZ -> AUH -> COK in J.

Questions:
Boarding - they do not have status EY, is their pre-boarding for J passengers or is it by seat-row?
Overhead storage (they are in the middle seats) as they have 2 x carryons
Lounge in AUH given they have a 2 hour layover. They are in T3, is it relatively easy to find?
Any other tips for them; I'm trying to brief them as much a possible so that they have an enjoyable flight on their relatively long journey

- pre-boarding for F & J passengers, yes
- there is no overhead storage down the middle of the J cabin, however there is usually ample space on the sides.
- lounge is super easy to find - it is situated about 5 meters from T3 security, straight in front and slightly to the left. They need to simply go in and take the lift to the 1st floor.

I hope they have a pleasant trip!

I would not count on overhead space for their hand luggage, though, especially if the flight is well booked. The lack of overhead space in the middle of the plane regularly leads to offloading of hand luggagen, in my experience.

It can be a long walk from gate to security check, maybe ask for electric cart?
Security check is rolling staircase down after transit desk, many people are confused where to head to (exiting passengers straight on, transit turn left down escalator)
F and J passengers can take fast lane at security check, follow signs Diamond, Pearl, gold passengers down escalator. Indeed way up with lift to lounge is 5m after security check.
