Hilton HHonors - Great Experience at Doubletree Grand Miami

I just returned from a 3 day trip to Miami, and had a wonderful experience at the Doubletree Grand on Biscayne Bay. The room was big and clean, the staff very helpful, and the "dream deal" breakfast was right on he money. About two minutes after I called the front desk to tell them I couldn't find the TV remote, a new one was at the door.
PS
I also stayed at the Doubletree Surfcomber on South Beach, and also had a nice stay, although the room was much smaller and decorated in a minimalist act deco style. However, I did not expect a big room - I stayed there for the beach. Downside - $7.00 resort fee. Upside - having beach towels, padded beach lounges, and a guy to set up the umbrella was worth $7.00.

I honestly don't know. My best guess is no, since there would be no way for the hotel to determine if you did not did not use this service.

I just stayed at both of these hotels. Received a junior suite at the Doubletree Biscayne- found the furniture to be old and tattered with drab colors. The television was very small and couldn't be viewed from the bed.

The Surfcomber gave me an access code for the resort so there was no fee involved. Here I received a large room, #204, minimalist is the right description, not much there but the couch was comfortable. However there was no phoneline on the desk so had to connect my laptop either by the bed or by the couch (both inconvenient).

Overall I didn't find either of these properties to be very exciting and it seems from a recent post that the MIA Airport location is no great place either. Seems that the Doubletrees in MIA are not up to par with their other locations.
