Aer Lingus Gold Circle Club - Short connection in DUB with Aer Lingus - Any suggestions ?

I've booked a flight from Paris to JFK via DUB on Aer Lingus for my parents. At the time of booking, they had 2h30 connecting time in DUB, but now EI has made a schedule change leaving them with only 75 min. Is that enough ?
I don't know DUB airport at all, but am a bit concerned, since I believe they have to go through passport control when arriving in Ireland and then pre-clear US immigration.
What really worries me is the fact that their flight is the last one from DUB to NYC, so they would be one day late in case they misconnect. On the other hand, if we ask Aer Lingus to put them on the earlier flight from CDG, they will end up with a 6-hours stopover in DUB, which does't look like the best solution either...
Any thoughts ?
Thanks

The last time I was on the last EI flight of the day to JFK you did not pre clear US Immigration. Only the earlier flights do so.

I'd be happy enough with 75 mins. as it is T2 to T2 because the afternoon JFK does not currently pre-clear.

Thanks. Doesn't look that bad if they don't have to pre-clear US immigration.

Shouldn't be a problem. And while you do have to clear Irish immigration, it is not at all arduous to do so.

Indeed.
If you have an EU passport, they just look at it,and your face and wave you on.
