Hello. I have a ticketing question on LAN Chile that I hope someone here can answer.
I bought two separate round trip tickets (SCL-IPC-SCL and SCL-EZE-SCL) on the LAN website for myself, wife and stepdaughter. When doing so I had to enter our passport numbers for each of us. On the PDF confirmations I got back from LAN after purchasing the tickets, our passport number is in the "ID" field on the confirmation.
The issue here is that my stepdaughter lost her passport and is in the process of getting a new one. Doing so will mean that she will get a new passport number and it obviously not match what is listed on the confirmation.
Is this going to be a problem? Is the passport number really tied to the ticket? Should I call LAN and give them the new passport number when she gets it? Will they even make that change, with or without a charge?
Any information anyone has would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.
