Fairmont President's Club - Free night certificate to a friend
Hi,
I am platinum member. My 2011 free night certificate wasn't used. And I would like to give it to a friend of mine to use it. Is there a way to do so?

Officially, no. Platinum free night certs are transferrable to immediate family only (incl. siblings and parents). You can find more info in the master FAQ thread.
Thanks for your reply. Is there a way around it?

Thereīs always a way to circumvent the rules (e.g. like pretending your friend is related to you or some other "creative" arrangement), but I wouldnīt recommend it.
You may get away with it, but FPC has the right to ask for proof, plus in the long run any abuse will lead to devaluation of the program (FPCīs definition of "immediate family" is much more generous than other programīs rules, so why not appreciate this fact vs. trying to abuse the system?)
I donīt know anything about your stay pattern, but if you have an upcoming stay in, letīs say, March or April, you could politely ask FPC to extend your cert. (no guarantee your request will be honored, but theyīve done so multiple times with regular FPC Plats)
