I did a search but did not locate any reviews about this hotel (apart from a couple of people mentioning that they had stayed there).
I have a 5 night stay coming up. Can anyone offer any comments about the quality of this ES as compared to others?
Thanks!

I stayed at this property several years ago after a bad experience at the Homewood Suites down the street. Very nice from what I remember. There is also a brand new HGI in town.

We stayed at the ES for 3 nights last summer. It was a last minute booking, and we managed to get the last available room which happened to be a wheelchair-accessible room
on the first floor. Our room was clean and surprising quiet despite the close proximity to the lobby. The hotel was not as large as the other ES we've stayed at, and being at sold out condition, there was a long line at the cooked-to-order breakfast area. The staff was friendly and yes, we did receive the ES touch in our room upon our arrival. A surprise since I was only a silver at the time. There was a nice pool and jacuzzi which we enjoyed.
Overall, we were pleased with our stay. Enjoy! http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif

Did not like the hotel at all. It is old, dirty and people are not very friendly. You should stay at HGI which is only 2 or 3 years old. Close to everything. If you do not have a budget stay at Kingsmill or Williamburg Inn - you won't regret it.

That (and the long line at breakfast) sounds like most of my ES experiences. I avoid them wherever possible.

Thanks for the replies (though they are somewhat inconsistent...).
I have a young daughter, and my wife does not permit us to stay away from home for more than 1 night without some sort of suite hotel. This allows us to close the door so the little one can go to bed at 8 PM (try as I may, I cannot fall asleep at 8 PM). This limits our choices to ES, Homewood Suites, Residence Inn, Staybridge Suites, Marriott Vacation Clubs, etc.
The Marriott Vacation Club is sold out. The HS Williamsburg is a possibility, but someone posted a negative review about that location. The RI is way too expensive.
If any of you have any better ideas for alternatives in the Williamsburg/VA Beach area, I am all ears.
Many thanks.

I have stayed in the ES, the HS, and the HGI in Williamsburg in the last year. All are fine in my opinion. As for the lines at the ES, just go after 8 and they wind down a bit on a week day when the business travelers leave. The only difference for me is usually price. The HGI is the best located for places to eat. The ES is behind a K-Mart and the HS is the closest to Colonial Willamsburg.
