Hi all,

My parents are planning to go to Peru+the Galapagos in May of this year. I've been pulled in to look after plane tickets, alas!

Their itinerary will be YYZ - LIM - CUS - UIO - SCY - UIO - YYZ.

Getting them into Lima at the start of the trip and back from Quito is one thing, but I guess I've found some options with reasonable connections. My problem is getting my parents from CUS-UIO. Everything seems really expensive. I'm finding prices like $470 from just LIM-UIO, which is a round-trip ticket on LAN with the return thrown away. I'd need the CUS-LIM leg on top of that (which is very cheap on StarPeru, but I'd really rather have everything on one itinerary in case of Peruvian delays)

Are there any options to bring the cost of this flight down? Am I missing any other airlines? The wiki page for Lima airport says AeroGal flies from LIM to UIO, but AeroGal's website seems to disagree.

I know of the LAN SA pass, but first of all, their lousy website didn't want to accept my held AA PNR (with the leg MIA-LIM on LAN) so I don't actually know if they will work. Secondly, the only acceptable routing I found on Oneworld had a 6 hour layover in MIA, which my parents have emphatically rejected. Additionally, StarPeru LIM-CUS and back is super cheap, so I don't actually know if the LAN pass makes any sense at all just for the leg CUS-UIO.

Side-bar: My parents are being quoted $500 for round-trip flights from Quito to San Cristobal airport. Is that about right?

Thanks in advance for any assistance.
